Chicadora's Newest Collections + OOTD

Hello! I've shared a couple of times that Chicadora is an online clothing shop that I own together with my friend, Kring. Tonight I'll share with you two of our latest collections, Coffee to Cocktails and Bandage Glam. I'm sharing this with you not only to promote our shop (hihihi) but also to give you ideas about the latest fashion trends. I've already blogged about our 12th Collection which is Crazy Prints. (Click to be redirected!) We release new collections every 2nd and 4th week of the month, Wednesdays at 8PM.

HMUA & Model: Yours truly!
Photographed by: Kring Mallari

Looking for clothes that can be worn on the office and late night drinks with workmates? This collection is for you! Office wear need not be boring! Pieces from this collection are very versatile and can be mixed and matched with different pieces easily.

Have you noticed the peplum skirt trend lately? We have them in different colors! I love how these skirts conceal my bilbil or fat belly. The layered cut gives the illusion of bigger hips as well.

A white button-down blouse is a staple for every women's wardrobe. I love how this can look classy whether with a pair of denim shorts, a black bandage skirt or even underneath a blazer.

This printed chiffon top can be worn backwards hence the difference in neck lining.

I love all of the pictures from this collection that's why I'm sharing them all to you. Thank you so much Kring and Dea!

I'm into bandage skirts lately kahit na ang laki ng bilbil ko! I love how can they turn any boring top into an interesting and fabulous outfit. I'll share with you some of my OOTD wearing these skirts!

I seriously need to trim down my belly area. It's bulging and disturbing. But, but, but it is hard to control eating. Hehehe.

Make sure to visit and like Chicadora on Facebook! Get a chance to win lovely pieces from Chicadora by joining my First Thank You Giveaway.

Halloween Makeup Collaboration: Walking Dead (Scary Doll Theme)

Hey guys! This is the second theme of the Halloween Makeup Collaboration I participated in with Jannie of Jannieology, Eyah of Eyahnism and Mhisha of the Touch of Yellow. Our first theme was animals where I chose to be a black bunny. Read Halloween Makeup Collaboration: Black Bunny. Aren't makeup collabs fun?

Prior to the creation of this look, I watched several makeup tutorials on Youtube on how to create scary doll makeup looks. Makeup looks such as this is not really my expertise that is why I'm quite challenged at the same time excited to try out something new. Here is the outcome! I know, I still have to practice a lot. Look at my uneven brows! I covered my natural brows with concealer and foundation and drew higher brows.

I wanted to be a dead-looking doll hence the bloodshoot eyes, pale skin and heavily contoured cheeks. To make the look a little scarier and gruesome, I added blood! In case you are wondering how I made the blood, I just used a regular chocolate syrup and red food coloring.

I had fun creating this look because it's like literally playing with makeup! I didn't have to be precise in makeup application. I just played with colors and used whatever I think would suit the look.

Check out my collaborators posts as well!

Did I scare you? Sorry for grossing you out! Let me hear your thoughts about this look!

Beauty Cosmetics Haul

I am really excited to share with you about my Beauty Cosmetics Haul! I've been wanting to have the 12pc Synthetic Brush Set from the brand since forever. I've heard from a lot of Beauty Bloggers how the set can be good dupe for Sigma brushes. Since Sigma is beyond the budget, I opted for Beauty Cosmetics! Check out Say Artillero's review, Beauty Cosmetics Brush Sets.

Last week, upon browsing Beauty Cosmetics Facebook Page, I saw a status post stating that the 12PC Synthetic Brush Set is already out of stock! I hurriedly texted Ms. Rosenn, the shop owner to ask if there's anything left. There's none! My heart sank!! Luckily, there's Fabshopaholic who also sells BC brush sets. I am too glad that they still have the particular set. Ms. Myla, the shop owner confirmed that they still have it on hand. Problem solved! Aside from the 12pc Synthetic Brush Set, I also ordered the Face Perfection Brush Set from Beauty Cosmetics which looks super similar with Sigma's Synthetic Kabuki Kit

If I am not mistaken, the Face Perfection Brush Set is recently released two weeks ago. The set is sold for 850pesos exclusive of shipping fee. The set garnered a lot of buzz even if it's just been released two weeks ago. It extremely looks like Sigma. From the handle to the bristles. No kidding!

My orders arrived safe and sound the next day I paid the brushes. The 12PC synthetic brush set is 1250 while the Face Perfection Set is 850. Thank you so much Ms. Rosenn and Ms. Myla for the smooth and fast transaction! I appreciate sellers who take time to reply to text messages of their customers. I am very matanong or inquisitive when it comes to online shopping. So, thank you for accommodating all of my queries! I'll put up a review in two weeks.

Of course, I wouldn't be able to get this without my Santa Claus. Hohohoho. I don't have the money to buy such things, yet. I present to you, my very own fat and generous Santa Claus. Hohoho! Thank you so much, Howee! I'll forever treasure these brushes!!

My Lips But Better: Estee Lauder Rose Tea vs Victoria's Secret Melt

Are you in search for the perfect MLBB (My Lips But Better) like I was a few months back?
Keep reading so you'll find out about my MLBB lipstick shade!

Top photo: Bare Lips; Bottom Photo: With Victoria's Secret Melt

MLBB is a lipstick shade that is really close to your lip color. Every person has a different lip color. Some are blessed to have naturally pink lips while some have dark lip problems. My natural lip color is brownish pink. My upper lips have slightly dark lip outline as you can notice in the photo above. I've been in search for the perfect MLBB shade. Luckily, I was able to find not one but two from my mom's makeup stash!

As you can see, both  lipsticks are leaning more on the brown side than on pink. I have already showed you the Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Rose Tea on my Estee Lauder Makeup post. Victoria's Secret in Melt is something I haven't shown you before. Both lipsticks are perfect match to my natural lip color. MLBB is perfect for No Makeup makeup looks. Right? If you don't want to look too made up or if you are not comfortable wearing bold lip colors, these lipsticks are perfect for you. Anyone can easily pull off this lip color. Great for everyday use!

Both lipsticks are creamy and pigmented. Superb formulation! Decent staying power of 3-4 hours as well.

I can barely distinguish the two lipsticks from each other! When swatched, VS Melt appears to have browner shade but when applied on the lips, they look much the same. I am happy to have finally found my MLBB shade but, but, but, I would have preferred a shade with more pink undertones like NYX Matte Tea Rose for everyday use. I seldom use this lip color because I'm more of a bright lipstick person rather than a neutral lipstick person.

How about you, have you found the one? What's your MLBB? Have you tried Estee Lauder or Victoria's Secret lipsticks before? Share your thoughts below! I would love to hear from you!

Have a blessed day!

Love,
Iya
