Hey guys! I've been MIA the entire weekend because of an out of town trip. I had no stable internet connection. I'm back with another tutorial using my DollFace 88 Color Eye Shadow Palette. Check out my first tutorial DollFace Palette: Purple Dreams.
This is a simple makeup look for a high school prom. During our high school prom, we followed a color code where juniors wear pink while seniors wear blue. The dress I'm wearing in the photo is what I wore during my junior prom! Kasya pa!
Scroll down if you want to see how I achieved the eye makeup!
These are the eye shadows that I used: silver shimmer eye shadow, purple matte eye shadow and black matte eye shadow. I chose a purple eye shadow because I think it compliments my pink dress well. A shimmery silver eye shadow is great for evening occasions, extra sparkly! A little black eye shadow helps in making the look extra dramatic.
I opted for a light pink lipstick for this look because a darker lip color would over power the entire look. Also, this makeup look is for a high school prom. I think a light pink lip color suits the occasion well. I used Ever Bilena's Off Beat Pink and topped it off with Sally Hansen's lip gloss.
You'll end up with something like this! See those shimmers? I love the shimmers on the silver eye shadow! I think shimmery eye shadows are perfect for evening occasions.
One important thing about prom makeup is the foundation. Since prom is an evening occasion, flash photography is used. Don't use a foundation with SPF as it gives off a white cast. You don't want looking like Casper on your prom photos! Prom happens only twice a lifetime so look your best!
You know what's my favorite part during my high school prom? Not the dancing but the eating part! <3 Make sure to bring your powder and lipstick for a quick retouch!
That's it for my prom makeup look! What do you think about this look? How did you look during your prom? Do you have any makeup dilemmas during your prom? Share your thoughts! I would love to hear from you!
Have a good day!
God bless!
Love,
Iya
