Haul: Colour Collection Makeup

I've been meaning to share this haul with you for so long but I really couldn't find time. Truly grateful for non-working holidays! Now, I'll stop babbling and go on with the haul.

Most of the products are from Colour Collection, a local makeup line by Tupperware Brands. Find out more about the brand here. I've known the brand through my sister who is an avid user of their lipsticks. Now, I'll stop babbling and go on with the haul.

White Result Exfoliating Gel (Php599) - Product claims to whiten skin and increase the rate of cell renewal. Now that my pimples are starting to heal, I think this will come in handy for the nasty acne marks the pimples might leave.

Perfect Cover Dual Powder Foundation in Honey - Out of the bunch, this one has got to be my favorite. The shade is a perfect match to my morena skin. Also, it did not cause any breakouts. I've been avoiding makeup for several months now because of my acne problems. For ladies with acne prone skin, it is such a relief to find makeup products that would not cause acne build up.

Colour Intense Eyeshadow Trio in Terra Cotta - I think the colors are perfect for day to night makeup looks. What do you think?

Colour Intense Blush-On Duo - Reminds me of ELF's blush and contour powder. I find the product a bit too powdery. A single swipe of the brush sends the product all over the packaging.

Vitamin E Lipsticks (Php330 each) - Aaaah! Too giddy upon seeing four tubes of lipsticks from the brand. The quality of the lipsticks are superb in terms of pigmentation, staying power and formulation. Comparable to high end brands! Check out my product review on Kissmark

I got three shades, Red Wine (Satin), Kissmark (Matte) and Pinkish Nude (Satin). I got 2 tubes of Red Wine if you're wondering about the fourth shade.

Lip Therapy with Argan Oil - I am intrigued to experience the effect of Argan Oil on my lips. And oh, are you attracted with the its sophisticated packaging as much as I am?

Pop Shop Lipstick in Be my Baby - Hmm. I still haven't opened this one up to now. I'd probably give this one to my 3 year old inaanak, hehe. The size and design of this product makes it look like a toy! Cute!

Everything was sent by Sample Room as a prize for their Colour Collection Contest. Check out my entry here. Congratulations to the other winners as well! Thank you, Sample Room and Colour Collection!

Review: Colour Collection Vitamin E Lipstick in Kissmark

If there's going to be only one makeup product that I could collect, I would go for lipsticks. I'm always on the lookout for good quality lipsticks that is why I grabbed the opportunity to get one of Colour Collection's Vitamin E Lipsticks the moment Sample Room introduced it to the public.

I've known Colour Collection through my sister as she has been an avid user of their lipsticks. Colour Collection is a local makeup line that Tupperware Brands carry. Checkout their website here.

Price & packaging: It is packaged in a shiny black plastic tube with gold accents. I love how it's simply and neatly packaged. For 4g of product, it costs 330php. I honestly think that it is a bit pricey at first. My lipsticks usually range from 200-280php only. It is available at Sample Room for 85 points. Get yours now!

Color, pigmentation: The shade that I got is Kissmark which has a matte finish. It was totally LOVE AT FIRST SWIPE! It is a bright, almost neon, Barbie pink lipstick that has blue undertones. Pink lipstick with blue undertones usually do not suit my morena skin tone  but this one is different. It did not give me a Nicki Minaj feel. One swipe is enough to get an opaque coverage.

Formulation, lasting power: As most matte lipsticks are drying, this one is not. It glides smoothly on the lips. My lips which are prone to drying surprisingly did not experience any chapping or drying from this one after several days of use. I can skip lip balm application because of its moisturizing properties. Yay for Vitamin E! However, exfoliating your lips is still necessary as matte lipsticks tend to accentuate dry lips.Lasting power is up to 6 hours without eating.

Tune in, I'm a Barbie girl, in Barbie world. Life is plastic, it's fantastic!

Now for my FOTD, I went for a soft yet glamorous makeup look appropriate during daytime. I achieved this by pairing my pink lips with neutral colors for both my eyes and cheeks.

 A closer look...
Face: Fashion 21 Two Way Cake with Milk Moisturizers in 03, Ever Bilena Blusher in Earth
Eyes & Brows: Sleek I-Divine Storm Palette, K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner, Fashion 21 Double Up Mascara, Etude House Easy Brow Pencil No. 2

To sum up my review,

What I like:
  • Good quality. I could say that it is one of the best lipsticks I have ever tried.
  • Superb pigmentation
  • Formulation is amazing for a matte lipstick. Not drying at all!
What I don't like:
  • Lipstick bullet is too soft, it easily melts when exposed in heat.
Overall rating:
9.5/10
Now I know why my sister even signed up for Tupperware Brands to get discounts from Colour Collection. Their lipsticks are really of high quality. For 330php, you'll get more than what you pay for.
Where to get:
Sample Room for 85 points (until stocks last)
          330php from Tupperware Brands dealers

Breast Cancer Awareness Month Makeup Collaboration

Here's a makeup collaboration for a cause! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I together with Janet of Journey on Beauty and Nonsense Stuff, Joyce of CandyLoveArt, Mitchie of Mitchiekyuti and Michelle of Micmic's Corner collaborated to raise awareness about breast cancer among the blogosphere.

We decided to incorporate the color pink in the makeup look for this collaboration.

I used a very light frosted pink for the inner 2/3 of my lids. For my outer v, I used a dark gray eyeshadow and blended it inwards. I also dabbed a white shimmery eyeshadow on the inner corner of my eyes. I made an extra long wing tip to elongate my eyes and used a white eyeliner on my waterline.

L-R: Careline Lipgloss in 102, Colour Collection in Tea Rose, Excel Paris Lip Cream in 101, 3 colors combined
I decided to be a little more creative on the lips. I used three different shades of pink lipsticks for an ombre effect! Pink is such a nice lip color! I'm into bright pinks lately.

Here is how the different shades look like when worn:

L-R: Careline Lipgloss in 102, Excel Paris Lip Cream in 101, Colour Collection in Tea Rose
Careline Lipgloss in 102 is a very loud baby pink which I find similar to Wet n Wild DollHouse Pink. The color is really nice for night outs. In my opinion, this color is not for everyday use because it doesn't look good without any eye makeup. I find Excel Paris in 101 similar to NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa. It's the perfect hot pink. Hot pink is my favorite among the three shades I used. The color would not look overwhelming even without eye makeup. Lastly, Colour Collection in Tea Rose is great for everyday use. It's a cool shade of pink with purple undertones.

Products used: Fanny Serrano Two Way Cake in Organza, Pasha Concealer, Ever Bilena Eye Pencil in Brown, HengFang Liquid Eyeliner, ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder, Maybelline Lash Stiletto, Careline Lipgloss in 101, Excel Paris Lip Cream in 101, Color Collection Lipstick in Tea Rose, ELF 100 Color Eyeshadow Palette, ELF Mechanical Lash Curler, Beauty Cosmetics Brushes

*Thanks to my sister who lent me the Careline Lipgloss & Color Collection Lipstick*

Organized by breast cancer charities, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual health campaign created to raise awareness about the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis treatment and cure. (Source: Wikipedia)
