It's raining makeup this November! I can really feel Christmas coming soon. Here's another makeup haul I'd like to share with you. I thought my October Collective Haul was the last major haul for the year but there's more! You know what I love about this collective haul? I got majority of the items for free!

I always take joy in reading Kimpossibly Gorgeous posts because I find them very informative and fun to read.  Being an avid reader has its rewards -  I won her Gorgeous Commenter of the Month for October! I'm very happy to finally have Krave Pretty Young Thin and Mememe Beat the Blues Sunbeam! Thanks Kim!

My tita bought me the James Cooper Eyebrow Gel in Frosted Brown and ELF Primer and Line Sealer. She also gave away her Fanny Serrano Eye Shadow Quad, Etude House Lipstick and Lip concealer which were slightly used. 

Lastly, I bought 2 WetnWild Megalast Lipsticks (Dollhouse Pink & Just Peachy) which I've been lusting over for quite a time now because they're really good quality lipsticks (Read WnW Megalast Lipsticks Review). I got two Careline Lip Glosses from my sister (pink & purple), I got the brown one a long time ago, I just added it in the picture. The sample size Posie Tint from Benefit is a freebie from Benefit's Sexy Sultry Makeup Workshop I attended 2 weeks ago.

I don't think I'd be buying anymore makeup for the following months. Heeeeeeeeeee :D

Look: The Evil Witch

I am inspired to create a wearable Halloween makeup look few days ago and here's the result! This makeup look is far from the scary, gruesome makeup looks for Halloween like my Walking Dead Makeup Look. This one is very wearable and can pass off as a nighttime or even party look.

I paired a deep plum lip color with  a moss green eye shadow that is slightly winged out. I also used a black eye pencil to fill in my brows instead of the usual brown pencil. Can you notice how I drew my eyes thinly? I just think witches have thin, pointed brows that's why. I love the lipstick that I used for this makeup look. It's a matte plum color that's currently in at the moment. I'm not familiar with the brand (Elaino #32), though. I just found it from my mom's stash. 

What I'm wearing is actually a Gryffindor robe. I got this from a thrift shop for only 20php. It's a knee-length robe that has a hood and Gryffindor's logo. Harry Potter fan, represent!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month Makeup Collaboration

Here's a makeup collaboration for a cause! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I together with Janet of Journey on Beauty and Nonsense Stuff, Joyce of CandyLoveArt, Mitchie of Mitchiekyuti and Michelle of Micmic's Corner collaborated to raise awareness about breast cancer among the blogosphere.

We decided to incorporate the color pink in the makeup look for this collaboration.

I used a very light frosted pink for the inner 2/3 of my lids. For my outer v, I used a dark gray eyeshadow and blended it inwards. I also dabbed a white shimmery eyeshadow on the inner corner of my eyes. I made an extra long wing tip to elongate my eyes and used a white eyeliner on my waterline.

I decided to be a little more creative on the lips. I used three different shades of pink lipsticks for an ombre effect! Pink is such a nice lip color! I'm into bright pinks lately.

Here is how the different shades look like when worn:

Careline Lipgloss in 102 is a very loud baby pink which I find similar to Wet n Wild DollHouse Pink. The color is really nice for night outs. In my opinion, this color is not for everyday use because it doesn't look good without any eye makeup. I find Excel Paris in 101 similar to NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa. It's the perfect hot pink. Hot pink is my favorite among the three shades I used. The color would not look overwhelming even without eye makeup. Lastly, Colour Collection in Tea Rose is great for everyday use. It's a cool shade of pink with purple undertones.

Halloween Makeup Collaboration: Walking Dead (Scary Doll Theme)

Hey guys! This is the second theme of the Halloween Makeup Collaboration I participated in with Jannie of Jannieology, Eyah of Eyahnism and Mhisha of the Touch of Yellow. Our first theme was animals where I chose to be a black bunny. Read Halloween Makeup Collaboration: Black Bunny. Aren't makeup collabs fun?

Prior to the creation of this look, I watched several makeup tutorials on Youtube on how to create scary doll makeup looks. Makeup looks such as this is not really my expertise that is why I'm quite challenged at the same time excited to try out something new. Here is the outcome! I know, I still have to practice a lot. Look at my uneven brows! I covered my natural brows with concealer and foundation and drew higher brows.

I wanted to be a dead-looking doll hence the bloodshoot eyes, pale skin and heavily contoured cheeks. To make the look a little scarier and gruesome, I added blood! In case you are wondering how I made the blood, I just used a regular chocolate syrup and red food coloring. 

I had fun creating this look because it's like literally playing with makeup! I didn't have to be precise in makeup application. I just played with colors and used whatever I think would suit the look.

Review: Fanny Serrano Two-Way Cake in Organza

Before I totally hit pan, I'd like to share with you my current foundation which is Fanny Serrano Two-Way Cake in Organza. I got this foundation several months ago as it is highly recommended by beauty bloggers. I wanted to find out why it gathered a lot of raves. Some even say that it can be a good dupe for MAC StudioFix in nc35 (i cannot really tell as I don't own one). Is the product totally worth the raves it's getting?

After 4 months of usage, here it is! I use it almost everyday.

The mirror is inconveniently placed at the back of the product. You have to flip back and forth when applying the foundation.

When applied:

I have tiny acne blemishes here and there. Can you spot them? I'm too lazy to apply concealer. My blemishes are barely noticeable after the application. It also doesn't give my face a white cast because it has a yellow undertone which I love! The foundation is specially made for Filipina skin!

You'll get a fair amount upon swiping your finger. See?

I swirled my brush once and this is what I got. One swipe is enough to cover my entire forehead! I prefer using my brush instead of the foam because it gives a lighter coverage.

I swirled my brush three times and look. It's a little powdery and messy but it's not a big issue for me.

What I like about it:

• Packaging. I love its matte black packaging which looks really sleek and classy. 
• Coverage. It has medium to heavy coverage. I use a powder brush when applying it on my face because I prefer medium coverage. It covers up my acne blemishes too. I don't need a concealer when I use this. A little goes a long way, very matipid.
• Staying power. It has a great staying power. Lasts up to 6-8 hours depending on the weather. 
• It has a good oil control.
• It's available in different shades. From lightest to darkest for different undertones (Silk, Satin, Duchess, Organza, Chino, Orleans, Rajah, Fantasia)
• Application. Easy to work with. Foundation is so smooth! 
• Affordable. Your 399php is definitely worth it. 
• Availability. Widely available in Fanny Serrano Counters located at SM Department Stores/Watsons

What I don't like about it:

• The location of the mirror which makes it inconvenient to use. I don't like flipping back and forth. No big deal, though.

If you are looking for a good quality foundation that has great coverage and staying power for an affordable price, this is definitely for you! FS foundation is perfect for Filipina skin tones! I love this product but I'm still in search for cheaper alternatives. Suggestions?

Look: Date Night

Happy Monday! How are you enjoying the holiday so far? (National Heroes' Day in the Philippines!). I'm here to share you a look I did a month ago.

Something I would wear out on a dinner night. Simple and clean! If you are going out on a date, keep it simple! You don't want looking too made up. Just enhance your features. I used neutral colors on my eyes. I tried to keep it simple as possible. I used my DollFace 88 eyeshadow palette as usual. For the lips, I used NYX round lipstick in Hot Pink which gives off a nice shade of pink. Not too bright nor too pale.

A closer look on my eye makeup. I used a creamy white liner as base which I think I over applied. I only noticed in the pictures, not very noticeable in personal. I used a brown eyeliner instead of black to make it look more natural.

I contoured and highlighted my nose using a brown eyeliner as contour and concealer for highlight. I love contouring my fat nose. Hahaha. For the cheeks, I used a coral shade of blush.

What's inside my kikay kit?

  

Hello there! I will be sharing with you today my kikay kit. No matter how un-girly/boyish a girl is, I believe there's some sort of kikay item in her bag, probably a powder, comb, or lip balm. Every girl needs one! Whatever ends up in one's kit depends solely on her!

This is my zippered pouch made out of mesh which was given to me by my dear friend, Shaina. It has the attributes that I was looking for a kit - black, durable, easy to clean. I do not like a kit that is made up of cloth as it gets dirty easily. This requires little cleaning or none at all! Whenever there are makeup spills, I can just shake it off the material. I do not have a fear of getting this wet either as it's not absorbent. Thank you Shaina! This has been very useful to me. But but but, I think I'll be needing a bigger one! It's so full! I'll definitely buy the same kind, just bigger. This is available in SM Department Stores in different sizes.

Fanny Serrano two-way cake in Organza (399php). There are lots of reviews and raves about this already. I leave it up to other beauty bloggers.The product is truthful to the reviews made by beauty bloggers, no kidding.

Top to bottom: ELF eye shadow brush, Marionnaud N°38 brush (slanted brush+spooly), white cheapo eyeliner, The Face Shop retractable lip brush, Nichido waterproof black eyeliner, Ever Original eyebrow pencil in brown and Ever Bilena eye pencil in brown. 

I house this pencils in a clear resealable plastic that came with my Marionnaud brush. I use the 2 Ever Bilena pencils to do my brows. I prefer pencils over brow powder/gel. So much easier to use.

Shawill Showcase Blusher in Dreamy Rose (99php). I am a fan of coral/peachy shades. I don't use pink blushers. Just doesn't suit me. This blush on is very pigmented, a little is enough to give you a pop of color! This will definitely last long. Very matipid.

Shawill Mono Eyeshadow (69php) #006 which I use for contouring. I think this is too dark for me. Like the blusher, this is also very pigmented!

Retractable Kabuki Brush (90php).Of course, my favorite brush! I love, love, love this! See my post here about this amazing brush. Note: This is not an authentic MAC brush, I got this from Divisoria (just when will I ever be able to afford a MAC product?)

Concealer (25php) You might laugh at me for having this product. Haha! This is really cheap. I'm not into concealer yet and I rarely use this. I use this in highlighting my nose line. 

Liquid eyeliner (20php) another cheapo product from China. It's just too cute! It works well too-great staying power! I just don't like its shiny finish. 

Maybelline Lash Stiletto (249php) Not so crazy about mascaras yet.

I love lipsticks! Of all kinds of makeup, I find myself addicted to lipsticks the most. I only have a few since I'm just new to the makeup craze. These are the ones I bring everyday.

Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Off Beat Pink (148php) I've heard and read that before, matte lipsticks from EB are only 125php. Too bad, I only discovered how great EB matte lipsticks are now. But, I can still say that this is still sulit for the price.

Also a matte lipstick from Ever Bilena. Scarlet is a nice shade of orangey-red! I haven't cleaned this up yet so, no picture! Haha

 In 2 it Moisture Intense Lipstick in Orange Juice (379php) As I have said, I love peach/coral/orange shades! This one is soooo orange and highly pigmented. I ♥ IT! Great staying power too. Kinda costly but definitely worth it.

Ever Bilena Pro Longwear Lipstick in Destiny (158php) Another lipstick from EB! This doesn't have a matte finish. Very moisturizing and long-lasting unlike the EB matte lipsticks.

Sally Hansen Natural Shine Lip Gloss I'm not into lip gloss that's why I only have one. I love pairing this with my EB Off Beat Pink since it very drying. 

Last but definitely not the least, my HG lip balm from Burt's Bees (395php)! I looooooove this so much especially the after-gum feeling. So minty and cooling!
