Nail Design for Short Nails

I want to take a break from makeup-related posts with a quick and easy nail art design for short nails! I applied a muted green as base and applied dots using a white nail polish and a dotting tool. I think adding dots to all of my nails will be a little over the top that's why I only chose to put it on my ring finger and thumb.

I applied three coats of Caress in Sea Green which is a lovely green shade! The color has a vintage vibe in it!

I used Sally Hansen in All the White Stuff for the dots.

Lastly, I applied Caronia Fast-Dry Top Coat to secure the nail color.

What do you think of this nail art design? Any nail art ideas for short nails? Share them by commenting below! I would love to hear from you.

God bless!

Snoe Beauty: The Past, Present and Future Event

Snoe Beauty, the fastest growing retail beauty brand which is proudly Filipino made held its 3rd Semi-Annual Blogger Event: The Past Present & The Future. Upon arrival to the venue, we were toured by Ms. Leny to the Past, Present and Future of Snoe. Both the Past and the present had a Snoe shelf which houses Snoe's past and present products.

First stop: The Past

If I am not mistaken, Ms. Leny is the first employee of Snoe. She's got good convincing skills! She was able to answer every question we threw in. I must say that she really knows and loves her job well!

L-R, Top-Bottom:

By past, Snoe means products which have been released several months or even a year back. I'm sure you've heard of Hair Heroes. Beauty bloggers swear by this product! Poudre Extraordinaire, a loose setting powder is famous for its Acai Berry content, the most powerful and nutritious fruit in the world. It's more than just a makeup, Snoe proudly boasts. Fizzy Sanitizers which are available in different scents are very interesting. They're foaming sanitizers!  I have read good reviews about their specialty soaps which I have yet to try.

Second Stop: The Present

The Present area is my favorite part! It houses Snoe's newest products: Awesome Poresome, Rouge Deluxe Lipstick, Poudre Phenomenon, Shoo-Zit to name a few. I'm really drawn to the packaging of the present products. They're very enticing! I commend the Snoe team for coming up with innovative products that would solve every beauty problem. Products that no other brand have come up before. They're always coming up with something new.

L-R, Top-Bottom: Bbfied, Acne solutions, Rouge Deluxe Lipsticks, Awesome Poresome, Hyperfunction, Hair Heroes Cleansing Oil

Bbfied is a HD BB Pigment Mix which can transform your ordinary moisturizer into a BB Cream, how cool is that? For those who are having acne problems, Shoo-Zit is here! It is  a set of skincare dedicated to solve acne problems. I'm happy that Snoe finally have its own lipstick line, Rouge Deluxe which comes in 7 lovely shades. Another set of skincare products is Awesome Poresome. I really want to try it! Hyperfunction Fond de Tient is a lightweight foundation that has skin-healing benefits. Lastly, Hair Heroes Cleansing Oil. Are you ready for a new Hair Hero?
Last Stop: The Future

More makeup products for us! Yay! I am truly looking forward for the release of these products.

Liptint, mascara, brow gel, eyeliner, foundation - they are going to have them soon!

After the mini-tour, the event formally started at 4PM with a presentation facilitated by Ms Jen Gerodiaz-Diaz, the Founder and CEO of Snoe.

The humble beginning of Snoe - bazaar days, first store, first blogger party, etc. Within a short period of 2 years, Snoe was able to flourish and build its way up to popularity and success. Now, Snoe has 22 branches nationwide!

Some terminologies that describe the brand may seem a little confusing that's why Ms. Jen shared a little information about the commonly used terms not only by their brand but also other beauty products as well. What she shared is really helpful to consumers. A lot of beauty brands commit false claims that is why it is always important to research and read about the product prior to purchase.

Some of their new products which I've already showed you above are tackled as well.

Snoe openly shared their future plans with us. They're coming up with better products. Peace Love Happiness project was also introduced to us. It is a project that aims to let every Filipina to create her own makeup line.

Now, it's about time that I show you pictures with my fellow beauty bloggers. The event wouldn't be complete without meeting new faces!

Virginia Olsen Minerals Holiday Collection Launch

Virginia Olsen Minerals, a cosmetics company based in the United States is starting to make its name here in our country. What sets it apart from other cosmetics company is their choice to create mineral makeup instead of the traditional chemical-based makeup which are often harmful to our skin.

*Photo credits: Eyah Ballada, Charlene Tan and Virginia Olsen

What is mineral makeup all about, anyway?

Virginia Olsen is 100% natural, paraben free, bismuth & talc free, and pure mineral make-up suitable for women of any age, ethnicity or skin type. Our formulations are calming to the skin, making them ideal for women prone to sensitivities; and being fragrance-free, they are particularly compatible with delicate skin, giving a sheer, natural, flawless coverage. Further, our makeup unlocks the therapeutic properties of zinc oxide and the natural sunscreen provided by titanium dioxide. (Source: Virginia Olsen Website)

They recently launched their Holiday Collection - Fantasy, an enchanting holiday collection of iridescent shimmer which is only available for a limited time.

Ms. Hazel Salcedo & Ms. Jirbie Go

VOM's Marketing Manager, Ms. Jirbie Go and Ms. Hazel Salcedo, Marketing Assistant and author of Dress Me Up Buttercup provided a brief information about the brand. They also tackled about their different products. I was quite surprised that VOM offers a wide range of products - foundation, finishing veil, contouring and blush powder, eye shadows, makeup brushes and more!

Are you ready to see their Holiday Collection? Here it is!

The Holiday Fantasy Collection has seven enchantingly iridescent eye shadows: Moonlight Star, Lover's Moon, Crescent Moon, Stardust, Tinkerbelle Fairydust and Kryptonite. Now, don't be fooled by how they look like from the jar. They definitely look different once swatched.

L-R: Kryptonite, Fairydust, Stardust, Tinkerbelle, Crescent Moon, Moonlight Star, Lover's Moon

We exchanged oooohs and aaahhhs as we swatched the eye shadows. Everyone was amazed by the iridescence every color gives. Tinkerbelle is my favorite from the bunch!

Aside from cosmetics, they also sell makeup brushes which are made of synthetic fibers. They're the softest! I wasn't able to share a photo of their Kabuki Brush. If you don't have a kabuki brush yet, you must get from VOM, nothing compares to its softness, no kidding!

The launch was a massive swatchfest! Aside from their Holiday Collection, they also let us try their other products. A day is not enough to swatch every eyeshadow from their regular line. They have every color you can think of! My favorites are Chartreuse (apple/lime green) and Gold Bars.

Hide-A-Pore is a special concealer to hide large pores and help heal acne prone skin.

They have different shades of foundation to suit every skintone.

I was able to swatch two of their seven blush shades.

Every girl dreams of having long, thick and beautiful eyelashes and VOM provides the answer to this dream! By applying Sophia Eyelash Enhancer every night, longer and fuller lashes can be achieved. Full results will be visible in 16 weeks. The product costs 2750php, a bit expensive but still cheaper compared to other eyelash enhancing products. *A full-sized bottle of Sophia Eyelash Enhancer will be included at December Salad Box. First 50 subscribers to signup to their starter plan will get to try Sophia! Hurry and signup now!*

You guessed it right! I luckily won the raffle and get to take home my very own Sophia Eyelash Enhancer! I'm very excited for the results. I'll share a documentation every four weeks, stay tuned!

Everyone had a great time at the bloggers' launch. Thanks to Ms. Jirbie and Ms. Hazel and to the whole VOM team for inviting us over!

The group: Ayzee of Chilipina, Eyah of Eyahnism, Aya of Codename Aya, Ms. Jirbie, Genn of Plus Size Love, *Me*, Ms. Hazel of Dress Me Up ButterCup and Char of Yellow Yum

I'll be sharing with you the contents of my loot next, stay tuned!

Have you tried any product from Virginia Olsen Minerals? What do you think about their products? What do you think about mineral makeup? I would love to hear from you!

God bless!

Benefit Sexy Sultry Makeup Workshop with Mica Tuano

Two weeks ago, Benefit had a series of Sexy Sultry Makeup Workshop at their branches with their Chief Makeup Artist, the gorgeous and preggy, Mica Tuano Fuentes. You know what's the best thing about the workshop? It's for free! Not only participants would get to learn tips and tricks from the artist but also get to try Benefit's products.

Ms. Mica in action! She was able to demonstrate and discuss the proper makeup application from foundation, concealer, brow makeup, contour and highlight briefly. Of course, she taught us how to achieve a sexy smokey eye easily. Every product she used on the model was passed around for participants to take a closer look on the products. Here are some of the products she used:

BAD gal liner is perfect for creating smokey eye makeup!

Box o' Powder in Hoola is a matte brown powder great for contouring cheeks.

I was impressed with Watt's up highlighter as it can really add glow and dimension to the face. Using a stick highlighter is pretty convenient too compared with liquid highlighters in terms of application.

Some more of Benefit's products:

Who doesn't know about Benetint? It's the brand's signature product! It gives the perfect natural-looking rosy flush to the cheeks!

Check out their holiday sets!

Every participant get to take home a goodie bag. A brochure of their holiday sets, SpyGal comic book and a sample size of their product! I get to take home Posetint! I envy those who were able to get Porefessional!

A picture with Ms. Mica, effortlessly beautiful!

My buddies for the day were Raych Ramos of Makeup by Raych and Joyce Sola of CandyLoveArt. It was the same day Raych and I met up with Ms. Shen at BGC. (Read Meet-up with Shen.) If weren't for Raych's insisting, I wouldn't be able to participate in a wonderful workshop. Thanks Raych for tagging me along!

Here's our group picture from Benefit Cosmetics Philippines FB page. No need to sign-up/pre-register to participate in the workshop, anyone can drop by and participate.

Harness the Glow of Holidays with Clarity

It is that time of the year when nights begin to grow longer while the cold awakens the festive spirit. It is the season of bright lights ushered in by the so-called ber months. And while people are overwhelmed with kindness, it is only natural to let that inner glow break out and shine.
Premium body and facial care provider Clarity Aesthetic Medical & Dental Center presents that chance to not only feel good but look good as well. With its SkinCheQ beauty package, Clarity lets people in on a deal that offers beauty inside and out.

As the Christmas season arrives, gatherings and get-togethers come left and right and it is only fitting that one looks his or her best at every occasion. SkinCheQ offers that unique opportunity with a set of beauty treatments that reflect the festive mood of the season.
Clarity is offering SkinCheQ as a gift for those who are wellness enthusiasts. For only Php 15,000, a client can enjoy a complete pampering, which includes one ReFirme session, two Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments, and three Intense Diamond Peel (IDP) sessions. The package also throws in a free overnight stay for two at any of Clarity’s partner hotel or resort, which results in saving a lot of serious money.

With the ReFirme session, Clarity offers a non-invasive skin treatment that peps up a more youthful, toned, and lifted skin minus the long downtime or recovery. Aside from its skin-tightening benefits, the procedure also helps minimize pores and reduce the chance of getting unsightly breakouts and pimples.

The IPL treatment, on the other hand, offers a convenient way to remove age spots, freckles, broken veins, and large pores – all without the ouch! The IDP session meanwhile gently and effectively exfoliates the skin through steady stream of fine crystals that whisk away dead skin cells leaving a smooth, fresh, and rejuvenated skin.

Done by board-certified doctors and highly qualified aestheticians, Clarity clients are guaranteed value for every penny with quality service while the offering of a short and relaxing getaway simply further sweetens the deal. A SkinCheQ holder can enjoy an overnight relaxation with the free accommodation for two that comes with the beauty package. Clients can choose from any of Clarity’s partner hotels, which include The Bellevue Hotel in Alabang, Hotel H2O, and the Midas Hotel in the heart of the metro; resort destinations like the Club Balai Isabel or The Farm at San Benito in Batangas and the Nurture Spa in Tagaytay are also choices for the free accommodation.

Free Skin Analysis is available for Clarity Shangri-la clients while a mere Php 400 more entitles SkinCheQ holders to an expert consultation with a resident Clarity dermatologist. Available until December 2012 and valid until 2013, the package also enables clients to reach out and share the benefits of the deal by offering the various service certificates and accommodations as gifts to friends, family members or loved ones.

It is easy to get lost in the merriment of the yuletide season. Before jumping headlong into the Christmas rush, make sure things are set straight starting with a rejuvenated body and mind. Spend time and resources wisely by investing in your own. With Clarity Aesthetic Medical & Dental Center’s SkinCheQ, beauty and wellness are just a call or a clinic visit away.

November Collective Haul: Mememe, NYX, ELF, Krave, Etude House, WetnWild and more!

It's raining makeup this November! I can really feel Christmas coming soon. Here's another makeup haul I'd like to share with you. I thought my October Collective Haul was the last major haul for the year but there's more! You know what I love about this collective haul? I got majority of the items for free!

I've already shared with you my prizes from Shen's Addiction giveaway. These are just the makeup items. I got moooore! Check out Prizes from Shen's Addiction to see everything I got.

I always take joy in reading Kimpossibly Gorgeous posts because I find them very informative and fun to read.  Being an avid reader has its rewards -  I won her Gorgeous Commenter of the Month for October! I'm very happy to finally have Krave Pretty Young Thin and Mememe Beat the Blues Sunbeam! Thanks Kim!

My tita bought me the James Cooper Eyebrow Gel in Frosted Brown and ELF Primer and Line Sealer. She also gave away her Fanny Serrano Eye Shadow Quad, Etude House Lipstick and Lip concealer which were slightly used.

Lastly, I bought 2 WetnWild Megalast Lipsticks (Dollhouse Pink & Just Peachy) which I've been lusting over for quite a time now because they're really good quality lipsticks (Read WnW Megalast Lipsticks Review). I got two Careline Lip Glosses from my sister (pink & purple), I got the brown one a long time ago, I just added it in the picture. The sample size Posie Tint from Benefit is a freebie from Benefit's Sexy Sultry Makeup Workshop I attended 2 weeks ago.

I don't think I'd be buying anymore makeup for the following months. Heeeeeeeeeee :D

Please comment down below if you want any particular products reviewed from the bunch I've shared! I would love to hear from you!

Have a good night!
God bless!
