My Lips But Better: Estee Lauder Rose Tea vs Victoria's Secret Melt

Are you in search for the perfect MLBB (My Lips But Better) like I was a few months back?
Keep reading so you'll find out about my MLBB lipstick shade!

Top photo: Bare Lips; Bottom Photo: With Victoria's Secret Melt

MLBB is a lipstick shade that is really close to your lip color. Every person has a different lip color. Some are blessed to have naturally pink lips while some have dark lip problems. My natural lip color is brownish pink. My upper lips have slightly dark lip outline as you can notice in the photo above. I've been in search for the perfect MLBB shade. Luckily, I was able to find not one but two from my mom's makeup stash!

As you can see, both  lipsticks are leaning more on the brown side than on pink. I have already showed you the Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Rose Tea on my Estee Lauder Makeup post. Victoria's Secret in Melt is something I haven't shown you before. Both lipsticks are perfect match to my natural lip color. MLBB is perfect for No Makeup makeup looks. Right? If you don't want to look too made up or if you are not comfortable wearing bold lip colors, these lipsticks are perfect for you. Anyone can easily pull off this lip color. Great for everyday use!

Both lipsticks are creamy and pigmented. Superb formulation! Decent staying power of 3-4 hours as well.

I can barely distinguish the two lipsticks from each other! When swatched, VS Melt appears to have browner shade but when applied on the lips, they look much the same. I am happy to have finally found my MLBB shade but, but, but, I would have preferred a shade with more pink undertones like NYX Matte Tea Rose for everyday use. I seldom use this lip color because I'm more of a bright lipstick person rather than a neutral lipstick person.

How about you, have you found the one? What's your MLBB? Have you tried Estee Lauder or Victoria's Secret lipsticks before? Share your thoughts below! I would love to hear from you!

Have a blessed day!

Love,
Iya

  2. I always have to apply lipstick whenever I go out because my lips have an uneven color. I have dark lip outline too. MLBB shades are must-haves for me :D I have a WNW lippy that's my go-to MLBB lippy but the lasting power isn't so good. Am still in search of a better one :)

    1. Really? What particular lipstick shade from WnW? I have swatched a WnW lippy that can be a good MLBB shade but I forgot the name. I'm not sure if it is In The Flesh. You should check that out! :D

  4. I love neutral lippies and gloss! So far, my favorite is M.A.C. Chatterbox for lippies and Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Naked. :)

  5. This is next on my list of products to buy! A MLBB shade. I realized I only had pinks and reds, not much of neutral shades for my lips when I'm doing a full on eye makeup. I'll make sure to try Estee's Rose Tea when I get the chance! :)
